Paintings

I primarily work using oil paints as a figurative painter.

 

Inspired by symbolism, nature and the old masters. I aim to bring a timeless element into my work with am emphasis on the inner journey we all face in life. Inspired by natural forms, contrast and eternal symbols. My work is a large part of my own personal 'inner alchemy'

I didn't begin painting until in my 20s after spending my early years focused on learning the fundamentals of drawing in my studies. I try to use my own source material and paint from life where possible.

Visually and technically in my paintings, I am inspired by artists Odd Nerdrum, Rembrandt, Beksinski, Edvard Munch, Leaonardo da Vinci to name a few.
